an incident which happen this late afternoon still triggers in my mind and i still kinda freak out when i recall it..haha i noe it may sound stupid to most people but i almost burst out in tears while i was running around the neighbourhood.
before i went out running, my mum tried to stop me, saying that its gonna rain soon and of coz i didn't listen, abit of rain wun kill me plus i din run for a week already!!!
when i started off, a series of thunder n lightning came and the sound of thunder getting louder and louder..i wasn't freak out at first until i saw lightning strikes a few times across the sky..at this moment i suddenly remembered there was once a guy got strike by lightning while walking to the bus interchange in pasir ris..and den i looked around, though i'm not in an open field but there're so many tress around!!! arghhhh......!!! help!!!
not long after it rained heavily..i have no choice but to run back to my block AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! in fact i was sprinting back coz the thunder was getting terrible, can u imagine it..when i was running, i heard thunder every 15 secounds and everytime i heard one i thought i wouldn't make it back when the next lightning strikes..i just got a strong feeling that i'm not gonna make it..its a moment where i sensed that today will be my last day..
i started to sprint from bus stop to bus stop..thanking god that i still able to make it to the next shelther...in the end i reached my block and saw my mum @ the void deck with an umbrella..woo!! so touched..but den she wasn't waiting for me..LOL!! she was waiting for my dad to fetch her to some other places....woa lau...~ thought she was worried for me till she came down with an umbrella. but i'm still glad la, i still able to make it back safely. haha.
alrite, i guess those reading this might have burst out laughing n fall off their chairs already but u have to be in that particular situation to understand how frightened i was..NEVER EVER will i go for a jog when it will be raining soon or continue running when its raining heavily..
lesson learnt. =D
