Apple iPhone

my current phone is 'dying' and i still cant make up my mind which phone to get coz there isn't any model i like..till, i stumble across this website and i started to drool in front of my com.

iPhone is stylish (the coolest phone i ever saw), plus with its touch screen function, no other phones can compete with its design. Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a 'Perfect Phone'.

Here's the specifications:
- Screen size: 3.5 in (8.9 cm)
- Resolution: 320×480 pixels
- Size: 115×61×11.6 mm / 4.5×2.4×0.46 in
- Weight: 4.8 oz (135 g)
- Operating System: Mac OS X variation
Safari web browser
A widget engine
Core Foundation[citation needed]
Core Audio
Core Animation
QuickTime 7
- Power Management
- USB connection port
- Plays AAC and MP3 audio file formats
- Plays H.264 video
- Graphical user interface
- Integrated WiFi (802.11b/802.11g), EDGE and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP
- 2 megapixel camera
- iPod - music, video and photo functionality
- iPod portion features Cover Flow interface and 3-D effects
- Multi-touch screen interface (the "Home" button is the iPhone's only physical front panel button)
-On-screen QWERTY keyboard
-Fingertip scrolling, pan, and zoom (through a technique called "pinching") functions
-Built-in rechargeable, non-removable battery with up to 5 hours of talk/video/browsing or up to 16 hours of audio playback.

Sad to say, the functions are not really good.
- 2 megapixel camera --> nothing spectacular
- non-removable battery --> most likely u'll have to bring ur charger along if u're a heavy user, because now its iPod + Phone + Wifi all in 1 ..!
- No 3G --> by the time it launches in Asia at 2008, most people will be using 3G phones already.
Nokia and SE will definitely come up with newer technology to compete with iPhone, and the outdated iPhone will have to move aside unless a 2nd gen iPhone comes out.

Realised that there are even more downside to this phone as i've done some research. oh well, no iPhone for me.

2007 has been pretty exciting so far.

FYP is all over.
Shopping with LX.
Coffee session with Kach.
Made new friends!
More optimistic.
and Finally went out during weekends.

The past week was hectic but fun in a way. Never knew that doing the IC Design could be so challenging and i stayed till 5pm in the lab everyday. Kinda envious of my friend's class where they would help each other to solve the errors..how i wish i have classmates like them too. Thankfully they also helped me with my project in the end..haha~

**
went to the NTU talk at Suntec Convection Centre this morning regarding the various courses which are offered by their University, still uncertain of choosing between Business and Engineering. =( Mostly likely to continue with Engineering..at least i have much higher chance to get into either NUS or NTU. In the end, i just want to get that piece of paper. Sad to say, its hard to survive nowadays with just a diploma cert. Yes, its true that many millionaires did not even have a degree but not every non-degree holders has the opportunities and the luck to strike rich. So how? Suffer for 3 yrs to get the cert and work for the rest of your life doing a job which you do not like, at least at the end of the day you bring home enough $$$ to feed your family. That's how sad life is..

enough of trash talk.

btw, had lots of fun today at town. I found that guys are pretty good shoppers now. I went shop to shop with them to look for their clothes n shoes till i nearly drop dead. No more guys complaining about girls spending hours shopping anymore, now guys are much more vain and love to doll up themselves frequently.

anyway, was outside Heeren where there was this 'Sony Roadshow' promoting their newly launch camera which has 7.2 megapixels..*grasp* the staffs went around taking photos and we were offered to take a picture and have it printed out for each of us.

( no scanner, so this was taken using my lousy 4.0 megapixels camera =< ...cannot compare with sony's )

Super clear. Love it!!

First day of Spinnovex 2007'

Once again, another time of the year where selected students showcased their final-year projects at the Spinnovex. Our team was allocated at the new building in SP, T11a, which was quite spacious and not many visitors. Yaofeng, Hsien Yang and Alex's projects are exhibiting there too, nice to have someone to talk to when i'm BORED!

Anyway, our project is the 'Improved Traffic Light Controller' and here's how our model looked like:

Received quite a few gd reviews for our model, kinda happy when they praised it coz it shows that all the hard work has been paid off. I'm also glad to see some of my friends who came to visit: Thanks Jiaqi, Eugenia, Sherman, Justin, Jiahao, Lionel, Shang, James and some of my classmates for giving some support! =)

After the project, went to catch 'Night In The Museum" with a friend at Great World City..The show was not bad, humorous but to a certain extent, still its fun to see different characters came into life. I'm dying to watch Death Note 2..and 2 other movies which are not launch yet: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix!! Esp TMNT, i seriously hope it will be good!
