It is 4am in the morning right now, i'm nocturnal once again.
There's isn't anyone online to chat with except for one friend who is taking a break while playing midnight mahjong.

Speaking of mahjong, more people (esp youngsters) are getting hooked to this game. A recent 'The Newpaper' article featured some kids playing mahjong during their past times and even inviting their friends over for midnight mahjong..It leds me to wonder, shouldn't kids be outside catching tadpoles, fly kites or other outdoor activities instead?

I was brought up in a family that never touches mahjong and no poker games during chinese new year until centuries later, one of my aunties couldn't resist anymore and took out a deck of poker cards, forming a large circle at my grandma's house and started gambling. I was sitting aside viewing and then i saw something which made me quite upset..

Two of my younger cousins, one was 12 and the other was below 10, were playing blackjack with the adults..Their luck were good and they were winning quite a lot from the Banker. My 2 cousins were happily counting their winnings, seeing their $10 ang bao money had increased to more than $30. I was quite upset when i saw this (not because i'm jealous of their winnings..!!!) i'm afraid kids at such young age would think that gambling is a good and easy way to get more money and eventually got themselves addicted to it.
I asked my auntie not to let them play, but her reply was, "nvm lah, once in a while." Argh! But..they are only KIDS, they are below the age of 12!
Maybe parents should ask themselves, "are they setting good examples to the kids?"

Anyway, here's something interesting which i heard from my uncle:
吸烟身体好,
喝酒没烦脑,
麻将练头脑!
