This morning had a quarrel with my mum while i was packing my stuff for the Great Eastern Women10k. Imagine the two of us arguing at 4am in the morning..gosh, hope tt we didn't woke up anyone..It all started when she came out of her room out of a sudden and ordered me not to go for the run later..I know she was concern due to the rain but i 've told her the night before that since i've paid for this race, it would be a waste of money if i did not participate. Then she started blaming me why i signed up in the first place and did not stop running after i joined the gym. But i actually i signed up for the run BEFORE the gym *sigh* it was really hard to get the point across, especially when no one wants to give in.. Seriously i don't know what was wrong with her disapproving my running since young. From primary to secondary, the medals and trophies i won back home were just scraps of metal to her. Never once she praised me for winning a race. Its really hard when there isn't any support from parents.. Even after i completed a 42km marathon, all she could say was i was crazy and wasting my time..instead of a "well done".. Many times i told her that running is a healthy activity..at least its better than i get money from her to buy drugs..But somehow she just don't get it.
At least Dad understands, all my running fees and gym membership were sponsored by him..
Alright...just wanna vent my frustrations thats all.

Today's Women10k went pretty well! I thought the race will be delayed due to the rain, but thankfully when i reached there the rain has stopped..woot!
This year's race has included some overseas professional runners for eg, Kenya.. one of the kenya runners was the winner for the Standard Chartered Marathon..*impressive*..

I pesonally like the route this year..Compared to the Shape run, this was far better..In the end i completed the 10km with a timing of 54mins, slower than my last year's timing by 2mins...still, i'm satisfied..
Finally, i've finished my final race for the year 2007..and no, i'm not joining the Standard Chartered this year cause the exams are till the end of November, there won't be any free time to run..I'll be happy if i can head down to gym once a week now..seriously i miss gym!! ahhhh..........! i also miss my kickboxing and body combat classes..! they are hell lots of fun..! I cant wait till my exams are over..and i'll camp in the gym!!!!!
